The Bannockburn Dolphins welcome all swimmers new and old to another season of fun and team camaraderie. The Dolphins will be swimming in C division of the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL) this summer. The 2010 schedule of meets can be found on the schedule link.
Swim team registration will take place Wednesday, May 26, at the pool from 5-7pm. Please note that pre-team registration will take place on Monday, June 7, during the first pre-team practice. All forms including the swim team calendar (which has information on practice times, all meets and social events), the registration form, parent checklist, swim team FAQ, and driving directions to other pools are now available, go the forms and directions links above. Please download the registration, checklist and calendar and bring these to the registration. Please also remember to bring your checkbook to pay fees and purchase swim team gear and your calendar to sign up to volunteer at the meets.
Volunteers are critical for the swim team. We can not run swim meets without a small army of volunteers to time, to officiate as stroke and turn judges, referees, and starters, and to donate food and drinks that help fund the team (the fees cover only a part of the needed funds) and to help with sales. Well-run meets don't happen unless we all pitch in. Each family should plan to volunteer at each meet in which their child swims. We are especially in need of Stroke and Turn officials, starters and referees. If you have timed for a year or more, please consider taking the next step and training to be a meet official. No prior swimming experience is necessary! For dates of training sessions offered by MCSL go to www.mcsl.org.
