Early June Update –
As your volunteer board of directors continues to navigate the unique conditions that have been brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to keep you updated on the discussions that are taking place amidst the pool board of directors and within the community of local pools. Pending the green light from the county, we are working toward a hopeful June opening. Taking into account county guidance, there will be restrictions on pool capacity as well as enhanced safety and cleaning precautions. The board is currently developing a plan to stagger member’s time at the pool initially to prevent crowding. Once these policies and procedures have been finalized, we will share them via email and they will be posted on the Bannockburn Pool web site for reference.
The board is developing a “Bannockburn Pledge” with the idea that each member will be asked to sign to acknowledge that they:
1. Understand the policies and procedures that will be in place for the start of this unique pool summer;
2. Understand the policies and procedures are likely change and evolve over the summer based on experience and external conditions;
3. Are willing to do their part to help keep the pool safe for everyone.
We know that this year may look different than years past; however, we are hopeful that we will have a wonderful summer despite the challenges caused by the pandemic. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges and try to adapt as best we can while trying to give our members the best possible experience for the 2020 season.
