Hello Bannockburn Swim Club members,
If you’ve been to the pool lately you’ve noticed it’s been really peaceful and quiet. And we’re getting reports from members that they’re thrilled they don’t have to set their alarms for midnight to make reservations! We have a few updates below, including an increase in reservation limits so read on…
More Pool Time Available! Reservation Limit Increase on Weekdays
Since we’re seeing that many reservation slots, especially on weekdays are not filling, we have increased each members reservation quota to four, two-hour reservation blocks during the week (Monday – Friday) effective immediately. Members can reserve on different days or opt to reserve two back-to-back sessions or two separate times on the same day. Members are still limited to one reservation per family member on either Saturday or Sunday. We may need to return back to the four reservation total weekly limit in early September when everyone is back in town, but we’ll reassess the situation then and let you know via another update.
Walk Ins Welcome When We’re Not Full
If you have already exceeded your weekly reservation limit, check the reservation system and if you see that a spot is not full, you are welcome to come to the pool as a walk in. Walk ins do not count towards the reservation limit. Please note, that once we reach the ceiling of 60 with a combination of reservations and walk ins we cannot admit any more people. This has never happened though and you are not likely to be turned away.
Changes to Schedule and Pool Hours Beginning August 31 – end of September
Below is a summary of our new schedule beginning August 31 for the remainder of September.
You will note that early bird lap swimming has changed a bit to account for changes to daylight – but we’ve extended the early bird hours until mid-morning. As per usual in September, we’ll also be closed during the hours kids are in school.
Children of all ages and dive skill level are welcome to join the Dive Team coaches for practices daily 9-10 am for the remainder of the month, weather permitting. Beginners – who can swim independently in the deep end – can learn basic dives such as lineups, forward and back dives. No reservation required and children can join as walk-ups whenever they desire but should check in with Coaches Danielle or Liam. No fee is required for the first session; for ongoing attendance we’re suggesting a contribution of $15 per week per diver. This will help pay coaches’ salaries. If you owe for past sessions or would like to pay for future weeks please go here or paypal.me/FYurcisinAdult Water Aerobics Tuesdays & Thursdays
These classes are every Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:30 – 9:15 am and will continue until the end of September. No pre-registration or reservation required. The class includes aerobics, strength, flexibility, balance, and fun exercises. The 45-minute classes are open at no cost to all adult members.Text Alerts

Food Truck Line Up
The pool parking lot continues to be a staging area for these small, mostly immigrant-owned businesses. Please consider ordering from them if you’re at the pool or come pick up food to take home to your family to make it worth their while. They really appreciate the business during these tough times. Menus and ordering links can be found on the event calendar here.
