The Week Ahead – July 8

We are now really in the peak of summer! Here is some pool news to help you plan your week ahead!

Hours 

We are in the last stretch of home meets for our wonderful Bannockburn Swim Team. Please note that the pool will open late on Saturday at 12:30pm and it will close again at 5pm next Wednesday.   Go Dolphins!

Upcoming Food Options

Bannockburn Pool is famous for its gourmet food offerings.  Most of these small, family-owned businesses are still recovering from huge financial losses during Covid. Please consider ordering from them on their visits, rather than bringing your own, to make it worth their while.

Sunday July 10
Sang on Wheels (Laotian food) 4-8 pm and Live Music in Lot – Redline 5:30 – 7:30 pm

Walk up ordering. Here is menu and more background on Sang.  Redline, a local rock and reggae band will be playing in the parking lot Sunday.  Please park up the street and walk down when you come to the pool since half the parking lot will be closed so neighbors and children can enjoy the music freely.  (Please note, this was initially scheduled for Saturday but we shifted to Sunday due to rain forecast on Saturday).

Tuesday, July 12
Foodhini – multiple immigrant chefs – pool delivery.  Ordering deadline 2 pm same day here for 6 pm delivery.

Swim Lessons
Whether your children are just learning how to swim, your teenagers interested in improving their techniques, or you in “remembering” how to backstroke, our swim coaches and lifeguards are available for lessons.   For more information and to sign up, go here.  Fees range from $25-40 for 30 minutes paid directly to the instructor depending on experience and skill level. (Minimum age for lessons is 3).

Lost and Found
Our lost and found near the baby pool is overflowing with towels, water bottles, swim suits, sunglasses, shoes and clothing.  Please check it out and see if you’ve left something behind. Anything not collected by July 17 will be donated to charity.
