The Halal Kingz Afghan Food Truck

This Afghani food truck will be making a Bannockburn debut. Menu and pre-ordering will be posted shortly here. They will also be accepting walk up ordering.

Mohammed Zabi Zaman (aka Zabi) founded Halal Kingz food truck in 2019 after years in the catering business. Zabi learned to cook as a boy watching his father and mother, as well as his grandmothers in the kitchen. Zabi is a first generation New Yorker from Queens whose parents emigrated from Kabul, Afghanistan as refugees. Zabi inherited his food truck from his father who sadly passed away during Covid who ran a successful food truck business in Manhattan for over 20 years. He is proud that his father’s legacy lives on through Zabi’s decision to shift his business to food truck vending and cooking food that reminds him of his close family bonds. Zabi says his cooking represents traditional recipes and techniques he learned from his parents, while incorporating his own unique style and American influence.
